Cypress Software Systems Continues Rapid Market Expansion
Fort Worth, TX – (June 9, 2003) ---- Cypress Software Systems announced today that it now has clients in 15 states. The Company indicated that sales have continued to be in line with its aggressive growth plans, despite a weak economy. Stephen Sargent, President and CEO of Cypress noted, “We have enjoyed significant growth, particularly in the upper Midwestern U.S., this year. Our flagship product, Cypress Mark IV, is not only well insulated in a weak economic environment; but, we believe it to be more attractive during these times given that clients using Mark IV can better control staffing needs while, at the same time, reduce loan losses.”
The Company’s growth has, in large part, been fueled on taking business from competitors offering Internet-only solutions. Troy Anderson, Vice President of Sales and Corporate Development for Cypress, indicated, “We have seen some significant fall-out in the marketplace for Internet-driven solutions following the Internet bust. Banks are also telling us that they’re more interested in keeping private data behind their firewalls with the advent of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and, more recently, the U.S. Patriot Act. This has enabled us to step in where competitors have left the space.”
The Company indicated that, through expected partnerships and additional direct sales efforts, it expects to have a presence in more the 20 states by the end of calendar 2003.
